An Ideal Investment
We all desire to be wealthy and healthy but our focus lies more towards being wealthy. Certainly because it will be a major contributing factor towards being healthy but does it qualify all the parameters? Do you know everything your body needs? Should you make a consultation? Is it worth the Investment?

The only source of light in the picture is the lamp where as all other sources lead to darkness. This reflects the complexity with simplicity. Imagine finding a reliable source suitable for you in the dark without light… Certainly you will be confused because the cones would start reacting in the presence of light within 30 seconds in the retina to form a clear image. Thanks to the billions of fired neurones but the Rods will take upto 30 minutes to make a clear vision. Metaphorically similar situation is when you go on a restricted diet, the first mistake which most of the people do (including me first in the list when I was a beginner) is believing in paradoxical statements. You will have people with a difference in opinion with the same plan and you would come across netizens being positive about various plans(Thats the light behind the Lamp from outside). Now the question is what is the right fit for you?
The best way to answer is finding a good trainer. Now your second question naturally would be how do you identify them? Heres my experience of almost a decade and being myself an ISSA Certified Elite Trainer, I would simply give you 5 classifications.

1. Empathetic Listening
Before you vent out your frustration with multiple failures, a trainer will always ask you two things WHAT & WHY.
These two Crystal clear questions will make your mind clear about what you are about to begin and why? S/he would make an effort to understand your mind what it has been through the past, present and how it would lead you to a future. This listening is always never included in majority of the routine consultations. The listening is paramount because unless you discover the cause you will never find a permanent remedy which takes me to another classification.

2. Road Map
Before you start your journey, S/he would always portray an explicit blue print. This will give you a detailed idea about the entire journey, hurdles, challenges, estimated timeframe, preparations & COST. This is essential because it will make you aware about what you are stepping into and how much mental, emotional and physical strength will be required to accomplish your goal together.

3. Self Reliant
A trainer will always provide you the details and information about why any inclusions or exclusions are made in your plan so that you are aware, educated and in complete control. S/he will always try to educate you so that you can sustain without them, be your own motivation and carry on the routine life long which brings me to another classification…

4. Money Minded
The most important aspect where almost 100 percent people think that consultations are life long. S/he who makes you believe this is never fit for the designation nor the profession. On an average whenever you both are a team it should last anywhere between 6-12 months (depending on current and future goals). In exceptional cases 18-24 months (depending on current and future goals). The focus of the trainer should always be to educate their client about training, nutrition, mental approach and breakdowns. However a good trainer will never sell you any plan for a short term benefit. Your achievement will be his/her success and not the money. Some might be reasonable and some might be expensive but one thing to advise is always prefer long lasting results compared to short term cost effectiveness.

5. Feedback & Followup’s
The second most important part of your regime will be followup and feedback. S/he will be very keen to know how you fared during the training period in terms of nutrition, recovery, activeness, sleep. S/he would expect you to not miss the followups certainly because it will provide a clear map about the chain of transformation which is being built. Your feedback and discipline will push the trainer to bring out the best in you in a reasonable and quick span of time. When they see people being dedicated, trainers go beyond their routine to give an extra effort and I bet on that.
We all invest in mutual funds, shares, fixed deposits and ensure that we get the returns maximised then why not for health. People enrol themselves in Gymnasiums, Personal Trainers, Nutritionists but being a regular absentee wont fulfil your desire. In fact you will be at a loss and certainly blame the trainer or institution for your failure. I would like to infer on One point Whatever you wish for make sure you complete it. Take care of your body when you are young and your body will take care of you when you are old. Eat your food like a medicine or else you will need to eat a medicine like your food. The 20 Minute Meal


Ever wondered why you feel hungry even after a scrumptious meal. When gulping the morsels of savoured items due to work or any other activity, the cost paid by you is much more than just time and money.

We have a saying since ages that one should not speak while eating but its gone for a toss in todays time. Imagine the last time you mindfully ate your meal without any cumbersome process… haha you will have to take the effort of chewing. Just compare a day when you eat in a rush and on a holiday when you eat in serenity. Make out the difference in the satisfaction despite consuming the same food. Mindful eating, which is unfortunately lost in the 21st century but thanks to many health freaks like me, you won’t forget the importance because we are there to back you up whenever you find yourself stuck.

The first thought of food makes you salivate that is your biological system ready for the intake of food. Each bite and chew completes 20 percent of the digestion process in the mouth itself. This makes it easier for the next function to optimally perform and proceed towards the 26 feet long track where it further takes 6-8 hrs to absorb all the essential nutrients and maintain the gut Flora and Fauna. The ongoing process releases satiety hormones which approximately takes 20 minutes to reach the brain. This indicates you to stop eating. Imagine you have a 20 minute window and you hog as much as you can believe me you will be able to. Soon after the window you will feel the stuffiness. This is something whenever you see your favourite meal.

The moral remains simply traditional. When you eat forget everything and behave like you attain Nirvana while you consume your hard earned food. Eat slowly and enjoy your meal. Mental Health – Rewind

The need of hour was astounding. The virtual reality of Extempore was tested. People now exactly knew what they desired but were they too late for it? The foundation of habits lied on the rocks of discipline and those habits would result in a miracle just by taking the first step.

Lets go back in 2019 marking the beginning of a new year with hysterical resolutions. As per observations, the maximum number of enrolments at fitness centres were peaking in the beginning but active attendees by the passage of few months plunged to a fifth. The centre where I enquired had 700 plus memberships but the number of active members were roughly 120. The shocking inference made it clear that a hasty decision was not working and this would go on and on and on. Why did they go of track was a question to be answered but who bothered to answer after receiving the annual membership fee and just casually ask…… Arey kaha ho aap zamana hogaya aapko aaye

The Fight or Flight Response of the Autonomic Nervous System is evolved to protect the body from the potential hazards around it but also triggers from the so called stress you take daily. This affects the Homeostatic environment inside the body. You may now have an answer why you sometimes feel to over eat or binge on to your favourite junk meal. Consumption of such items after passing through a stressful environment triggers a release of dopamine in an amount from the hypothalamus which gives you a feeling of satisfaction and tremendous amount of happiness. While the Endorphins do their work and make you relax, does it guarantee you to feel stress free for a longer period by such consumptions – Emotional Eating??? You must be wondering why the title is inappropriate where the writing generally reflects some kind of Biology and personal experience.

Guarantee, a word which is read, interpreted and sold in a completely different manner. External motivation for a temporary period is acceptable but if you expect it as permanency, it will eventually lead to a solitude environment. Now this directly connects with the start DISCIPLINE and HABITS. You are what you eat, you are what you think, you are what you do. Working tirelessly fulfilled your family’s daily needs but did it do something for your physical or mental health. Skipping meals and missing out on your favourite routine gave you the happiness you deserved and desired? The ambiguous thoughts you had were clear and true. You were just not ready to accept it and lockdown proved it. The outburst was certain but not timed. The moral only states one thing, if you spare out some time for yourself, for your own well being, your own fitness, your own nutritional requirement you might be in a different state of mind. Mental Support In Transformation

Before this pandemic even Started, the term Mental Support was to be only found associated with the word Psychiatric Disorder. Who thought keeping yourself caged in an isolated place with the one’s you loved would turn out to be a grumbling battle each day. The work from home culture eradicated the boundaries for individuals as well as the big corporates in terms of seamless experience but the actual winner was IMMUNITY.

The best part they did not consider you insane certainly because they have been talking about this term since years and this once wave of global Phenomenon bought meaning to it. Interlinked by the Neurones from the brain to the GI track, the only required thing was to devote time for your physical and Mental Health.
